Teresa Fernandez is a native of Chihuahua City. In 2005 she moved with her family from Juarez City to El Paso, Tx. She has been painting for 16 years and her formal training includes studies at University of Texas at El Paso, El Paso Community College, Universidad de Ciudad Juarez, as well as numerous workshops in and around Northern Mexico and Western States. She is Member of Jardin del Arte- Juarez and the El Paso Art Association.
Teresa was the owner, director and instructor of Cre-Arte Art School and Gallery at Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua from 2001 to 2006.
She now teaches Art History and Appreciation at the Tecnologico de Monterrey Campus-Juarez as well as mixed media workshops.
Her style is vibrant with a passion for color and texture which creates very expressive works. Her works hang in private and corporate collections in Mexico and United States. Teresa’s works in oil, watercolors, acrylic and mixed media collages and had been at the Hal Marcus gallery since March 2006.
