Evelyn Fraser Ainsa was born in Valpariso, Chile in 1916. Her family came to El Paso from Chile when Evelyn was a child. After marrying and raising a large family, Evelyn began painting seriously. She then went to college where she attained her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Fine Arts. Painting daily for over 30 years, Evelyn developed her own language and philosophy using the image of the cat as a metaphorical figure and symbol with which to translate contemporary human issues. She began with a conceptual title and then created her works using vivid colors. Each painting teaches a special lesson about the human experience. Evelyn Fraser Ainsa, 91, passed away on June 13, 2007. NOTE: All artwork purchases are subject to availability,
