Daniel Padilla was born
in 1972, in El Paso, Texas, but was raised in Ciudad Juarez,
Chihuahua, Mexico for his first five years. While attending school
he was encouraged to paint, and at times he was encouraged and
supervised by his father who was a fine anonymous artist until his
death in 1994. While attending Bowie High School, Daniel became a
member of the Juntos Art Association and assisted in painting a
mural at Thomason Hospital. In 1996 Daniel started at El Paso
Community College as a part-time student for two years in the study
of graphic design. Presently, he works full time and paints as a
second job to support his family, but he expects to become a
fulltime artist in the near future.
